"From Rails to Waves" offers you a unique way to discover the Bay of Somme by combining two emblematic modes of transport: the train and the boat.
Go to Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, at the ticket office of the Port, starting point by train or boat (according to schedule).
Depending on the date selected, embark either on board the covered boat "Commandant Charcot III" for a one-hour crossing of the Bay of Somme on the sea side, or on board the historic train for a one-hour trip through the Bay of Somme on the land side.
Thanks to these two means of travel, enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the landscapes in the heart of the Baie de Somme, admire the varied landscapes, marshes with green meadows, while discovering the railway history of the region.
The trip ends in Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, at the initial starting point. Enjoy the last moments of your day in this picturesque city.
The combined train and boat offers a complete perspective of the Bay of Somme, exploring its coastal and terrestrial aspects. Take advantage of every moment to discover the natural beauty and rich history of this exceptional region.
In Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, departures and arrivals by train and boat are on the Port.
In Crotoy, departures by boat are on the port, departures by train to the station (about 500 meters distance between the port and the station).
The ticket does not reserve a numbered seat on board the train or boat.
Also, we advise you to be present at the station 45 minutes before the departure of the train and on the platform 30 minutes before the departure of the boat.

100% payment on booking. Online purchase only guaranteeing you the place on board the train and the boat (not numbered).
Modification or cancellation client possible before the date of the trip (according to general conditions of sale).
In case of bad weather, the boat crossing can be cancelled. It will be offered as a replacement a round trip by train, accompanied by a partial refund of the benefit or the postponement of the benefit according to availability.

Dates and places are limited, it is advisable to book as soon as possible.
We recommend that you arrive 45 minutes before the departure of the train in order to settle there freely and 30 minutes before the departure of the boat.
